| A strong job market is an area that we need to greatly develop. South Carolina is ranked among the bottom states in unemployment. There are several key issues that link together the fundamental problems of the job sector. We need to continue supporting our Technical Education Systems and create new incentives for local Sumter businesses to hire from within the community. A trained workforce of local plumbers, carpenters, auto repairmen, masons, welders, and etc. could be utilized by local employers.
